Home Projects

This weekend was full of home projects both inside and out. About two weeks ago we got the house painted and it was difficult to get used to. The following day we put everything back on the walls, but it wasn't until we got the curtains up that it brought everything together. My mom and dad did a fabulous job! Our house is becoming a gallery of their talents. They have helped make our house a home! Here are before and after pictures:
Saturday afternoon was beautiful and I was eagar to get outside! Our neighbor Angela ended up helping me plant flower while Allen took her 4yr old to the park. Allen was more in his element at the park than doing yard work. Angela and I had a good time visiting and planting flowers. By the time Allen got back from the park we had a group of neighbors in our yard hanging out, throwing the football, and doing yard work. We've got a strong community of neighbors and look forward to the many memories we will share!

On Sunday we headed down to visit my good friend Carmela and her family. Her oldest , Rachel, showed us her recital dances to the Peppermint Twist and Spoonful of Sugar. Then we played Rockband! Allen and I had never played before and it was awesome! Allen took more joy in watching while I wanted to try everything. It was soo much fun!
