Church Home

A great way to start the new year was joining a church home. For the first six months that we were here we had been visiting churches and finally found our home, First Baptist Church of The Woodlands :) It's hard finding the right place, but from the first time we visited we knew this was it. We have joined a young marrieds class and we love it! Everyone is so welcoming and know that this is going to be a great group to grow with and learn from. Allen has joined the church softball league. He has two games every Monday night. I just can't seem to stay up that late, but I usually got to the early game. They don't have the best record, but they have fun and that's what matters. :) Recently the ladies started a weekly bible study after the church meal. Every Wednesday the church provides a meal for $4 per person. It's a time for fellowship and join in prayer. After dinner the ladies in our class started a weekly bible study, which I'm real excited about. Our class really does a lot, almost every weekend there is a social and every Sunday they go to lunch as a class. It's been great since we are new and still getting to know everyone. Our class is doing a marriage study based on the book, Love & Respect. It is a great book! It really emphasizes the principles in the movie we love, Fireproof. They both give similar advice on what a christian marriage should look like. We highly recommend this book!
