Happy Birthday Avery!

Last weekend we celebrated my cousin Avery's 2nd birthday at The Land, the name of the property my Aunt and Uncle have in College Station. The theme was the backyardigans. We had a fun filled afternoon visitng with the family, playing pretend and Coop Ball. Inspired by the theme we were given bags that had our costumes, you'll have to see the pictures. The kids had a pinata, went on a hayride, and ran around. It was a wonderful time! It was a fun birthday party for both kids and adults :)

James - Olympic Medalist, Kathy - the Ref, Debra - the Sheriff, Katie - the Bride, Danny - the Pirate

Maci & Kristi - Hawaiian Girls

This was an interesting Pinata. For little kids that can't hold a bat, the tail has multiple strings that are duds but one will release the candy. It was quite interesting to watch.

Here is how it works. It was a clever idea for kids!

Kendall's string released the candy.

Avery lost interest but it was a free for all for the other kids. Notice the head is separated from the body.

Micheal took the kids on a hayride

On the way back from the hayride.
