Birthday Week

Well this week we had lots of birthday celebrations. It is kind of nice when you have like 4 different celebrations, a party every night!

It was pretty cool that on my birthday I had a famous person sighting. When I went to lunch with my colleagues we spotted Jessica Simpson! I was kind of disappointed because she wasn't all fixed up. She was dressed very casual with minimal make-up and her hair was flat. She looked just like any other ordinary person.

As you can see we had a very full week, but that doesn't include the two celebrations we had on Saturday. A close family friend got married on Saturday so we went to the weeding at 5pm and then dropped by the reception for about a half hour. We couldn't stay because Allen's work party was that night at the House of Blues in downtown. It was a great venue! They rented a private room and they had their own jazz band. The food was wonderful and I finally got to meet his colleagues.

Mom and Dad came to visit today. I was so excited when they delivered the entryway suite! You have probably seen these in the Pottery Barn magazine. I tweeked the design and wanted it to be red. It turned out gorgeous!

Then Mom and I went shopping for bedding to go in our guest bedroom. We recently got a new bed and dresser. Today I made a decision to go with the Shabby Chic collection. It has now become my new favorite room, but not so much for Allen.
