This summer we took a long weekend to go float the Comal River with some friends. It was the most relaxing trip I've ever been on. Our neighbors go every year and last year we went to float the river once before heading to San Antonio for the weekend. This year we had three couples go. We rented a condo that was walking distance to the tube rental place, it was perfect! Thursday and Friday were nice because it wasn't too crowded, it was peaceful and you weren't connected via phone or email. But on Saturday you couldn't even see the water because there were so many people! We never went to float the river in college but I can definitely see why a lot of students do. I think on Saturday we talked the least while on the river because the people watching was quite entertaining :) If you want a low key and inexpensive getaway I highly recommend it! We can't wait for next year!
