Special Celebrations In May

In May we spent a weekend in Austin for a wedding and had a blast exploring downtown. Last time we were both in Austin was in 2000 for the A&M vs. Texas game! On Friday there was a happy hour on the rooftop of The Belmont. The weather was perfect!

Then on Saturday we headed over The Triangle development, a project that Allen worked on at MLC, and Congress Street.
The wedding was at Thurman's Mansion in Driftwood and yes, we had bbq from The Saltlick! It was the best food I've ever had at a wedding! I can see why people order their bbq sauce.

The wedding and reception were beautiful!

The ceremony overlooked a vineyard, just a beautiful setting!

I don't think I danced this much at a wedding. Frida (in the black dress) and I danced so much my feet were killing me!

Congratulations Jennifer and Cole!

The following weekend we celebrated Mother's Day with Allen's mom. With her always having guys around I wanted to do something extra special, and GIRLY! We had a wonderful brunch with chicken salad and croissants, fruit, swedish meatballs and pasta, pasta salad, chocolate covered strawberries, and an angel food cake with strawberries. It was a very special day and family celebration!
