New Kids On The Block Concert

So last week some girls in my office were talking about an upcoming concert they were going to and just couldn't wait until Thursday night! It was THE original boy band, New Kids On The Block. I remember growing up to all of their music and reading about them in the Teen Beat or Bop magazines, the junior high version of People or Us Weekly. My favorite was Jordan Knight!

Last Wednesday Allen picked me up from work and told me he had a surprise for me. He had tickets to the concert in his employer's suite at Toyota Center. It was very last minute, but it worked out and we were able to bring some of our friends. It was a blast!

Natasha Bedingfield opened for them. Then when the lights went out the crowd went wild! It was so loud the entire time, my ears didn't stop ringing until we got home. The suite attendant said the only concert that was louder than this one was Hannah Montana. It's hard to believe that it was 15 years ago since they were all together and that I remembered the words to their songs for that long! Allen was a very good sport about the whole evening. He said that he was most entertained by watching the crowd, which is true. He pretty much stood there watching us be silly, but after a couple of drinks he was dancing with us.
