Boxes and More Boxes

This past week has literally flown by! A week ago from yesterday we went to dinner with our friends Brad and Brandy, but little did we know that there was a group at the restaurant waiting on us. When we walked into the restaurant and turned the corner there was our Sunday School Class! Allen and I have been so fortunate to make lots of lifelong friends through our church. When we thought that we weren't going to see them again one last time before we left it broke our hearts. They have been like family to us. We love you all! Thank you for the wonderful memories and your friendship! We will miss you tremendously!

Then on Tuesday the work began. We packed, and we packed, and we packed some more. We got pretty far, but moving is definitly not something I want to do again anytime soon. Allen spent about two days in the study and spent most of that time shredding documents. Our little shredder would get so hot Allen had to turn it off and take a break about every 30 minutes before he started again. It wasn't until after he was done shredding everything in the filing cabinet that we found out that the City of Allen had a shred bin for the residents to use free of charge for the Keep Allen Beautiful campaign. Funny how those things happen. While Allen was in the study I did almost every other room. The only big thing we have left is the kitchen, which takes forever! I'll be surprised if everything makes it to Houston in one piece, but here's to hoping. :) Throughout the week Allen and I ate at our favorite local restaurants one last time before he left. I will be back and forth between Dallas and Houston, but this was Allen's last week here. It was nice to focus on the move, but we still didn't get everything done. It's just hard to believe how fast everything has happened! Let's just hope that it slows down a little so we can make sure we've done everything. :)
